The success of an initiator of return-based investments is gauged on the basis of their economic success and the satisfaction of their investors. Service providers that have been active in the market for many years have the advantage of being able to present funds that have already been wound up as evidence of their achievements. But they also have a duty to live up to the trust placed in them by investors and sales partners over many years by offering transparency. We have been delivering on both these fronts for many years with the BVT track record.
As a fully fledged member of the tangible assets and investment association bsi Bundesverband Sachwerte und Investmentvermögen e. V., we are bound by the new standards applicable to the production of performance reports by investment management companies, which were published in June 2014. The new standards encompass the reporting of products pursuant to the German Investment Code (KAGB) and Germany’s Investment Products Act (VermAnlG), and extend the presentation of mutual fund business to include business with special AIFs (alternative investment funds for semiprofessional and professional investors). Based on the new standards, a performance report offers a broader data pool and therefore gives a more complete picture of an investment management company’s abilities as an asset manager.
